⛳ Sea Links Golf & Country Club — Asia's most challenging links course with 360° panoramic views over Mui Ne Bay.
Opened in 2008 on the sand dunes of Mui Ne, Sea Links is Ronald Fream's masterpiece: an 18-hole Par 72 layout stretching a record 7,617 yards from the black tees with a Slope Rating of 145 — one of Vietnam's toughest courses. Seashore Paspalum turf, island greens, rolling fairways, and ocean winds create an authentic links experience in South-Central Vietnam.
? Location & Access
Sea Links sits on a rocky hillside 60–80 m above sea level in Phu Hai Ward, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, within the 160–168 ha Sea Links City complex. This elevated position offers a stunning 360° panoramic view over Mui Ne Bay — considered one of the most beautiful backdrops of any golf course in Vietnam.
Travel times:
From Ho Chi Minh City center: ~3 hours via Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway and National Highway 1A (or Phan Thiet – Dau Giay Expressway).
From Cam Ranh Airport (Nha Trang): ~2.5 hours (170 km).
From Phan Thiet city center: ~10 minutes (5 km).
?️ Design & Architecture
Sea Links was designed by Ronald Fream — CEO of Golfplan US and one of the world's most renowned golf course architects. He applied the "Extreme Contouring" philosophy to transform arid sand dunes into an authentic links course — a style traditionally found only on the coastal regions of England and Scotland.
Design signature:
Continuously rolling fairways rarely offering a flat lie, forcing constant stance adjustments.
Large but intricately undulating greens demanding excellent green-reading skills.
Two Par-3 island greens — greens completely surrounded by water.
Deep pot bunkers guarding most greens and fairways.
Shifting ocean winds are the decisive tactical factor every day.
? Course Specifications
Sea Links boasts a record length of 7,617 yards from the black tees and a Slope Rating of 145 — approaching the USGA maximum of 155. It is a genuine test for every skill level.
Turf: 100% Seashore Paspalum (tees, fairways, greens) — salt-tolerant, fast recovery, consistent ball roll.

Driving Range: 150 × 300 yards, 22 covered hitting bays with bay-view turf, overlooking Mui Ne Bay; dedicated chipping, putting, and bunker practice areas.
Clubhouse: International restaurant with ocean views (fresh local seafood), locker rooms, sauna, jacuzzi.
Pro Shop: Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway equipment and fashion golf apparel.
Caddies: Professional caddies with expert course knowledge and green-reading skills — essential on a course with such severe slopes.
Night Golf: Floodlit back nine holes — a great option to avoid the midday heat.
Others: Tennis courts, gym, private beach (>1 km), 4 outdoor swimming pools, Kid Club, windsurfing.
? Playing Tips
Wind management: Northeast winds November–April can reach 18–25 knots (sometimes 40). Adjust club selection by 1–2 clubs and favor a lower ball flight.
Rare flat lies: Expect to hit from slopes — widen your stance, lower your center of gravity, and avoid "thin" shots on sidehill lies.
Course management: With a Slope of 145, avoid "hero shots" from deep bunkers. Taking bogey is a win on many holes.
Green reading: Large, undulating greens require careful observation from multiple angles before putting.
Night golf: If playing the back nine at night, bring a wind jacket and prepare for different depth perception under lights.
Best tee time: Early morning (6:00–6:30 AM) to avoid the heat and catch the calmest winds.

Yes. The rate includes course fee, caddie, and shared golf cart (1 cart per 2 players). A private cart can be arranged upon request when booking.

4. What is the dress code?
Collared shirts and golf trousers/khakis are mandatory. Tank tops, athletic shorts, and flip-flops are not permitted. Hats and golf gloves are strongly recommended.

7. Is Sea Links suitable for beginners?
With a Slope Rating of 145, Sea Links is very challenging for beginners. However, the red tees (5,526 yd, Slope 133) and professional caddie service make it manageable. Beginners should start from the shortest tees and focus on enjoying the scenery rather than the score.
⭐ Signature Holes
Hole 3 (Par 3): A breathtaking but treacherous hole. A large lake runs along the left side, and the green is guarded by two massive bunkers front and back. Club selection into a headwind off the ocean is a true mental test.
Hole 6 (Par 5): The fairway is split by a large central lake. Players must choose between the right route (shorter but narrow and prone to OB) or the left route (safer but much longer) — a test of decision-making and strategy.
Hole 14 (Par 3): Stretching up to 220 yards from the black tees — one of the longest Par 3s in Vietnam. A narrow green surrounded by deep pot bunkers punishes any off-center strike.
Island Greens: Sea Links features two Par-3 island greens where water completely surrounds the putting surface. These are the most memorable — and most pressure-filled — moments of the round.
