BRG Ruby Tree Golf Resort broke ground in 2005 as Do Son Seaside Golf Resort and officially opened in 2009. On April 7, 2016, it was rebranded as BRG Ruby Tree Golf Resort as part of BRG Golf's strategy to unify its premium service standards nationwide.

The course was designed by Pacific Coast Design Pty. Ltd — a leading Australian golf course design consultancy. With a philosophy of harmony with nature, Pacific Coast Design transformed the Do Son coastal swampland into a sporting work of art.
