Golf Tips for Silk Path Dong Trieu

1. Calculate coastal wind on the Ocean Course

Eight holes on the Ocean Course are directly affected by sea breeze. Golfers should choose 1–2 clubs more than usual, especially on the seaside Par 3.

2. Safe play on the Lake Course

Seven holes on the Lake Course feature strategic water hazards. Don't attempt a "hero shot" across the lake unless confident — playing along the fairway is much safer than losing a ball in the water.

3. Club adjustment on the Valley Course

The Valley Course has significant elevation changes between holes. When hitting downhill, reduce by one club; when hitting uphill, add 1–2 clubs depending on the slope.

4. Best tee times: 06:30 – 08:30

Early morning tee times are not only cooler but also when coastal winds are weakest, offering better ball control on the Ocean Course. The course is also less crowded at this time.

5. Bring extra balls

With water hazards and mountain terrain, golfers should bring at least 9–12 balls for an 18-hole round, especially when playing the Lake and Ocean Courses.

Is this course suitable for beginners?

Yes. While some holes are challenging, beginners can choose to play the 9-hole Valley Course (more gentle terrain) or tee off from the forward tees (red tees) to reduce difficulty. Professional caddies and the golf academy also provide excellent support for newcomers.
